“2010 is a bright, profound vintage with intriguing, complex red fruit. These wines should age beautifully.” - the words of producer, Andrea Franchetti
"This is Andrea Franchetti’s flagship wine from here, the extremes of southeast Tuscany, the wilds of the Val’d’Orcia. The blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot. 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot has been impeccably crafted by Andrea, in line with the complexities of the vintage - bright, complex and poised - lovely wine."

“When Andrea Franchetti discovered this site in the deep south of Tuscany, he knew the terroir was like nothing he’d seen before. As a Bordeaux man, terroir is everything and so removing acres of scrubs and deserted woodland he planted his vines, did his thing and naturally word spread. 9,700 vines are handpicked bunch by bunch with several passages through the vines to ensure optimum ripeness. The wine itself is created from 60% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. The result? Stunning juicy red fruits with tobacco, spice, savoury smoke and a kiss of minerality binding it all together.”
Tuscany’s rolling vineyards and olive groves make it one of the world’s most stunning wine regions, yet it is also Italy’s oldest, dating back to the Etruscans.
