Sauvignon Blanc

With its hallmark crisp acidity Sauvignon Blanc is always a refreshing choice. The varietal can be found in most common wine regions, and depending on where it’s from the profile is quite unique. From a fruit-driven wine with mouth-watering and citrus aromas to the grassy, savory and herbaceous notes such as hay and bell peppers. Given the broad expressions of the wines and variation of budgets, it is of little wonder the Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most popular white grape varieties.

About Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc grapes are pale green in colour which leads to equally pale-coloured wines. It was made popular from Loire Valley and Bordeaux but it reached new heights in wine stardom when in 1973, the first Sauvignon Blanc vines were planted in Marlborough, New Zealand. “Crisp, fresh and fruity” is a favourable description of the wine from New Zealand. ERADUS WINES - a boutique and family-owned estate, located in the Awatere Valley region of Marlborough is an excellent example of the wine, a true expression of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
