Auxey-Duresses Rouge 1er Cru Domaine Comte Armand 2019
"Auxey is a good village to find a medium bodied Pinot Noir with all the characteristics of an elegant and ethereal red Burgundy and ageing potential. Bordering St Romain to the west and Meursault/Monthelie to the east, it benefits of a cooler climate and higher altitude. Red fruited and sharp on the nose, it is chewy and ripe on the palate. There is a hint of leather and earth. The tannins are elegant and the finish long enough. Don’t walk away because it only has 9 premier cru sites!"
