Château Magdelaine, a contiguous cru acquired in 1952, was renowned for the elegance of its wines. Château Bélair-Monange expresses the unique style of the greatest parcels of these two complementary terroirs.
Annonce is simply a younger sibling, a wine of great charm in youth, which nonetheless will repay a few years of cellaring.
"Delectably ripe red berries on the nose, spicy and faintly herbaceous, with a touch of fresh mint and a judicious lick of vanilla. The palate is firmly structured and briny on the attack, opening onto a powerful, darkly-fruited mid-palate through which buoyant acidity rises, lifting the blackberry flavours. Excellent balance of ripeness and crunchy definition.
