"This is Achaval’s Bordeaux blend. A complex nose of cassis, redcurrant, liquorice and black cherry. The palate has an inky dark core of blackberry fruit and firm, potent tannins, with raspberry flavours dancing above. Vivacious acidity carries the palate through to a long finish. "
Achaval Ferrer was founded by a group of Argentinian and Italian friends who loved wine and were determined to produce something outstanding – an aim encouraged by celebrated Italian oenologist Roberto Cipresso, one of the founding team.
Argentina is one of the world’s most exciting wine-producing countries. Important both in quantity and in the quality and style of its wines, Argentina has much to tempt wine consumers of all palates and pockets. Its juicy, soft-textured, everyday-drinking wines made from European varieties such as Chardonnay, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are widely consumed both in Argentina and abroad.
