The 2013 is particularly pale, a very lovely, limpid ruby which is vibrant and upbeat from the outset, with sweet redcurrants and minerals in evidence. As ever, the rather pale colour is a false friend as there is a lot going on here, an inner complexity and a layered mid-palate and finish. Red fruit dominates, complemented by pink pepper spice on the palate and the long, mineral, layered finish.
