About

Comte Armand had a line-up of prestigious winemakers in its history, to farm its Clos desÉpeneaux, a walled premier cru monopole in Pommard of 5.3ha. Paul Zinetti follows after Benjamin Leroux and Pascal Marchand. The domaine is fully biodynamic and produces elegant and long lasting wines. In the last decade, the domaine purchased vineyards in Volnay and Auxey-Duresses where Paul is making some of the finest representation of these appellations.

This exceptional vineyard was historically established as a "clos" by Nicolas Marey towards the end of the 18th century. The Marey family was as well the owner of the fame Domaine de La Romanée Conti’s Romanée Saint Vivant "Marey-Monge." In 1828, the Marey family sold the Clos des Epeneaux to the family of Comte Armand when Jean-Francois Armand married Clothilde Marey, Nicolas' daughter.
