The palate, similarly, is fresh, lifted and rich in red fruit, lively though serious supported by grippy tannins. Fine and chiselled this is a wonderfully refined, elegant translation of the vintage - bravo to Peter and his team.

A luscious medley of black cherry, white pepper and spice, gorgeous depth and a supple, well-integrated structure ticks all of the Saint Emilion boxes - elegant and sophisticated and true to place.
