PETIT CHABLIS
Vincent’s Petit Chablis parcels lie high on the plateau above the village of Fyé, on left bank of the river Serein river. The combination of altitude, aspect and the weathered (Portlandian) clay soils yield stylish Petit Chablis with a proper sense of place. Vincent’s 2023 is anything but ‘petit’, with its lively citrus and pear fruit, refreshing acidities and delicate white flower aromatics, a hint of iodine to finish.

CHABLIS
One of our top-sellers year after year, Vincent’s Chablis is a benchmark classic, from vineyards located primarily between the premier crus of Vaillons and Côte de Léchet. Purity, minerality, typicity are the keywords here, the pedigree unmistakable. The 2023 vintage is harmonious, elegant and long-line, refined by 8 months’ ageing on the fine lees.

CHABLIS 1er CRU VAILLONS
Vincent Dampt cultivates 0.6 hectares in Vaillons, a lieu-dit known for its diverse micro-terroirs, which can give wines with subtle differences. Beneath the classic Kimmeridgian limestone lies a generous layer of clay that retains moisture, a significant advantage in warmer growing seasons. Vincent’s Vaillons is a stylish blend of fruit from the sunny Beugnons parcel and the cooler Chatains, near Les Lys. Together, they form a wine with expressive, golden-hued fruit and vibrant minerality. Scented with may and a hint of exotic orange blossom, the 2023 vintage is generous yet contained, layering orchard and stone fruits, the texture silky but held taut by classic chablisien acids.

CHABLIS 1er CRU LES LYS
A small parcel on the serene slopes of the Vaillons hillside, the Les Lys vineyard carries a royal legacy implicit in its name. Although classified within Vaillons, growers like Vincent Dampt often highlight its individuality, bottling it as a separate premier cru to reflect its unique character. The vineyard thrives on fine Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, producing wines that epitomize Chablis’ hallmark elegance. Its cooler, northeast-facing exposure plays a crucial role in the 2023 vintage, enhancing freshness and precision. The wine is immediately captivating with its lovely linden-flower scent and subtle note of iodine, reflecting its chalky soils. Lithe and refined, with gentle pear fruit and a chalky, mineral freshness. Poised and pure.

CHABLIS 1er CRU CÔTE DE LÉCHET
High on the steep slopes of Côte de Léchet, Vincent Dampt’s parcels benefit from stony, nutrient-poor soils and a formidable 38% gradient, giving wines of striking mineral intensity. With plantings dating back to 1974 and newer plots meticulously replanted at higher vine densities (8,000 vines per hectare), Vincent has always professed a particular affinity for this exceptional terroir, and does all he can to optimise quality, including a move to single-guyot pruning to concentrate the fruit. The 2023 is intense and all-enveloping, balancing power and precision. The wine offers up rich fruit in a texture of slipper-satin, offset by long-line mineral acids.
