The domaine is in the tranquil village of Corgoloin, on the eastern side of the Route Nationale. The holdings comprise five hectares, including a monopole, La Robignotte – a prized, sloping vineyard on blue marl. The old, low yielding vines here tend to be picked at full ripeness.
THE WINES
THE 2021 VINTAGE AT DOMAINE GILLES JOURDAN
Sadly, this is to be the final vintage of Domaine Gilles Jourdan. As of the 2022 vintage, Gilles has sold the holdings, with the exception of La Robignotte, which he retains but has rented out.
It was Clive Coates who first introduced C&B to Domaine Gilles Jourdan. The wines have rightly won a loyal following among our customers. We wish Gilles a happy and well-deserved retirement.
CÔTE DE NUITS-VILLAGES BLANC
Domaine Gilles Jourdan’s white Côte de Nuits-Villages comes from a young vineyard, just over a decade old, planted mid-slope on limestone-rich soils, with a little clay. Very bright aromas of pure green melons and crunchy apples and pears. A joyful early drinker. 13% abv.

CÔTE DE NUITS-VILLAGES LA ROBIGNOTTE MONOPOLE
Gilles Jourdan is the sole owner of this jewel-like 0.96 hectare holding of blue marl. His first vintage of La Robignotte was 1999. There are two parcels, one over 70 years old, the other over 40. A bright ruby colour, with aromas of black cherries and liquorice. The palate has both freshness and an impressive weight of plummy, winter berry fruit. Cropped at 28hl/ha. 25% new oak.13.5% abv.
