A real success in the 2016 vintage, offering up fragrant aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and a touch of cedar spice. Generous on the palate, with an abundance of black fruits following through to a supple finish with melted tannins.

Poulsard is almost like a rosé in colour but certainly not
in taste – quite a serious drop. The nose is dominated by
flowers, small red berries and mineral notes of crushed
stones. On the palate it is Pinot Noir-esque, but a
marked saltiness reveals Poulsard. The wine is already
open, probably a signature of the vintage. Yet you feel it is young and will age beautifully thanks to the salinity. It is a great wine for gastronomy or on its own. The plots
are in Montigny and Arbois; the wines are between 25 and 60 years and planted on marl and calcareous sands, very soft and called here schistes cartons, because of
their aspect of layered cardboard.

The wine exudes exotic and tropical fruits and continues with citrus. The nose has enticing aromas of white flowers and fragrant trees. A touch of spice and dried nuts on the finish add some volume to the softness and delicacy. The salinity of the terroir is very subtle. Really good wine in 2020. The Savagnin is Jura’s signature grape, and also the Domaine’s calling card. Many styles of Savagnin exist. This cuvee, Ouillé (also called Naturé) seeks to protect aromatic freshness by contrast with the oxidative style of Vin Jaune or Savagnin aged under flor (sous-voile). The energy and vivacity are so refreshing and enticing. This wine should be in your cellar.

Pitangerets sits opposite En Remilly, on the other side ofthe side valley which runs up into the hills above Saint-Aubin. A spicy, darkly berried nose, somewhere between raspberry and blackberry fruit. On the palate, firm, fruitcoated tannins provide structure, supporting without detracting from the juicy drinkability and fleshy berry
fruit which is the essence of this wine.

The Doctor Auslese radiates an amber-gold shimmer. Wet-stone mineral notes and slate greet you on the nose. The palate is surprisingly delicate and precise for what is, after all, the high must-weight flagship of the estate. A deft but insistent sense of mineral-driven weight pervades the palate, complementing the spiced apricot and crystallised lime fruit, through to the long, focused finish.
