The investment in this tiny property dubbed the “Cheval Blanc of Pomerol” has been enormous. Born from the greatest plot of Château Certan Giraud when it was purchased by the Moueix in 1998 each successive vintage has aimed and succeeded in offering the most seductive and profound style of Pomerol, even to the extent of not offering a wine in 2002 when it was not considered good enough as a Grand Vin. No such difficulty existed in 2008.
