The plot sits at the bottom of the hill of Corton near the grand cru plots. The vines were planted in 1942, over a deep soil of cool clay. These are the oldest vines of the estate. The aromas jump out of the glass with classic Pinot Noir notes of red cherry and raspberry. The wine is complex, with good tension, a good length in mouth, over a fleshy and charming structure. Nice chalky mineral bite in the finish.
