The Vineyard is about 21 acres, situated in the south part of the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet at the down slope towards the village of Santenay. The reddish soil is due to the presence of iron elements in its soil. It is composed of a marl-limestone subsoil very suited to the Pinot Noir grape but also giving an exceptional and incomparable style to Chardonnay. The vineyard technique is generally sustainable.
